Summary
Carmen is one of Odournet‘s key experts of our Center of Competence for Molecular Odour Evaluation in Barcelona.
During her PhD thesis Carmen was involved in studies concerning aromatic profiles, consumer acceptance, pesticide analysis and nutritional quality parameters in pome fruit (apple, pear), stone fruit (peach) and citrus (mandarin, oranges). She was also involved in the European Knowledge Based Bio-Economy (KBBE) project ‘Genetical genomics for improving strawberry fruit nutritional quality’.
During her MSc Agricultural Engineering (Agrifood industries engineering) she has studied many industrial processes in food production, including dairy industries, enology, horticultural and fruit, meat industries, oil production industries and animal feed.
