WiNose is a Laboratory Information Management System for olfactometry that integrates direct control of hardware (Olfaktomat) and measurement procedure, interaction and collection of data from panel members, storage and calculation of results, panel selection and calculating and reporting the QA/ QC aspects relating to the measurement. WiNose takes complex tasks such as range estimation based on interaction with the odour panel off the hands of the operator, allowing the operator to focus on the behaviour of the panel. WiNose keeps track of all data and provides the laboratory manager with an instant overview of the measurement process and of the current status of the quality control parameters.
