 Nick Jones, Managing Director Odournet UK Ltd
Nick Jones was born in England in 1969. He holds a Honours Bachelor of Science degree from the University of North Wales: Bangor, in Marine Biology and Oceanography, with the emphasis on chemical and biological systems. He is a qualified as an Environmental Auditor with the Environment Auditors Registration Association (EARA).

He has over eleven years of experience in Air Quality, gained within the industrial and consultancy sectors. He joined Odournet UK Ltd in September 1998. His current role involves:
· General management of the company activities, and development and direction of the UK consultancy services of the Odournet group.
· Provision of advice on odour control and abatement techniques.
· Acting as expert witness on odour issues.
· Assessment of odour impact from industrial and agricultural sources.

Since joining Odournet, he has conducted in excess of 150 odour impact assessments on behalf of clients in the industrial, waste, agricultural, water and regulatory sectors.

He has project managed and provided direct technical input into a number of research projects aimed at underpinning and assisting in the development of policy for assessment of odour annoyance. He routinely represents companies as an odour specialist at planning meetings/Inquiries, and in negotiations with Regulatory bodies for Licensing and nuisance / enforcement action.

 Mr Ton van Harreveld, chairman, Odournet group of companies.
Ton van Harreveld is founder and chairman of the Odournet group. His operational activities include consultancy on policy issues, international marketing, quality control and R&D supervision.

Odournet specialises in all aspects of environmental odour annoyance and conducts many hundreds of odour related surveys each year. Several thousands of odour samples are collected and analysed in two accredited Odournet laboratories to provide supporting data. Odournet employs a staff of about 30 in four European countries.

Odournet develops and markets instruments and associated software for odour sampling and measurement. Olfaktomat-n olfactometers are installed in laboratories worldwide.
Ton was closely associated with developing the Dutch NV2820 olfactometry standard and is convenor for the working group CEN/TC264/WG2 ‘Dynamic Olfactometry’ that has now finalised the European CEN standard prEN 13725 Air Quality – Measurement of odour concentration using dynamic olfactometry.

As a senior consultant he recently completed major scientific review reports to support policy development for livestock odours by the Irish EPA and the H4 Horizontal IPPC Guidance on Odour for the Environment Agency (UK). Previously he headed a team to prepare a feasibility study for developing a method for odour annoyance potential measurement for the Dutch government.

Ton and his family now live in Barcelona, Spain, where he directs the smallest company in the group, Odournet S.L.

 Paul Ottley, Consultant Odournet UK Ltd
Paul graduated in 1999 with an honours degree in Environmental Science from Birmingham University. After graduation he worked for the Environment Agency for 4 years in the field of Environmental Protection, focussing initially on waste and water regulation, prior to specialising in water related aspects of IPPC permitting. In 2003 he joined South Derbyshire District Council as a Pollution Control/Scientific Officer where he specialised in air quality, noise and odour related nuisance issues and regulation of industrial processes under the EPA1990 / PPC2000 regime.
