In the spring of 2006 Odournet México was registered
to provide odour consultancy services to the Latin-American
and Southern United Stated. Although regulatory initiatives
are still in the initial stages in Latin America, the repercussions
of the Free Trade Agreements, the relatively stable economy,
and the emphasis on better air quality in big cities are indicative
for increasing demand in the next few years. Odournet México
is managed by Walter Murguía, one of the pioneers in
Latin America in the field of odour measurement.
Odournet México has carried out various projects for
landfill operators, composting plants, pig farms, refineries,
waste treatment facilities, cocoa processing, cereal drying,
leachate treatment, coffee roasting among others. As part
of the introduction strategy Odournet México will provide
dispersion-modelling services to the Odournet group and clients,
and will impart for the first time in Latin-American Odour
