Sector specific
review and guidance preparation
Specific industrial or agricultural sectors often have very
specific requirements in terms of odour control or abatement
technologies. Odournet has considerable experience in the development
of sector specific abatement advice, both in Europe and the
UK, and has been responsible for the preparation of guidance
for a range of industries including intensive agriculture, tanneries,
wastewater treatment, mushroom composting, composting, etc.
The initial stage of a sector specific review aims to identify
the characteristics of the odours released from the activity,
so that appropriate solutions can be identified. Information
is drawn from sources within the UK and across Europe to ensure
that the review reflects the current state of play. Potential
or forthcoming changes in European legislation can also be identified
to ensure that advice is as future proof as possible.
